After trimming our beards and discussing (at length) the merits of wearing your chamois on the outside and fairings, we headed out to scout the course...

Spring just makes us tingle

In the Spring, the leaves are light, bright green with whitish green flowers clustered on the stems.

So not everyone in Napa lives in a $1.5 million mansion, some of us live under bridges and in parks...but when we scrape together enough money for food, we head to Nation's Giant Burger...

ok, it's not that bad... but you will see the other side of Napa if you're here late night style...

Open all the time and serving good food for a lot less than usual, feed your head here. Also a good place to fill up on breakfast before the event or to soak up the alcohol in your system...

Napa River Velo

Need some tubes? A new bike? This is one of the shops to do it for you in Napa-ville.

Duke and his crew are also rumored to be putting on some sort of shin-dig with a SS bike company for the event, so stay tuned...

Taylor's Refresher is a higher end burger joint that everyone from near and far really likes. Sure, it costs a bit more for the ol' beef and bun, but you only live once and you're worth it...

Give'em a shot, you'll be happy.

THE place to stay

Yes, it's a bit old-school...

Look for the sign...

Plenty of parking, a pool, and beds...Would have had more pictures, but we had to mosey...
Oh yeah, see that bump of a hill in background, that's Skyline, where you will be suffering...wouldn't it be nice to rest your tired little head somewhere close by?

Here's some real simple advice...book a room or rooms here ASAP. We must own this place for the event, if just for the pool and outdoor BBQ area alone...

Nice and close to the event and within stumbling distance to downtown.
